Jeff
Graber.

I build AI systems the same way I ran a service business — clear requirements, accountable delivery, zero tolerance for drift.

How I got here

Three chapters.

01 1998 – 2006

Enterprise work

Built infrastructure for Viacom, Tommy Hilfiger, and the United Nations through j.u.m.p! inc. Mission-critical systems. High stakes, no margin for failure.

02 2006 – 2023

The Mac Support Store

Ran my own Apple service business in Brooklyn for seventeen years. 30,000+ customers. When the era ended, I closed it deliberately.

03 2023 – present

AI-native systems

Same accountability, new medium. Spec-first engineering, structured delivery, verification at every step.

How I build

Clarity
before
velocity.

AI stays a pilot when nobody defines what working means.

01

Define the problem.

Start with the actual friction. Write down requirements and criteria for success before building anything.

02

Build to spec.

LLM-assisted engineering from the specification. A useful thing in real hands beats a perfect thing in a deck.

03

Verify what ships.

Check output against requirements. Make sure each change preserves what already works.

About

Jeff Graber.

Self-taught. Started in technology in 1998 and never stopped. Built systems for Viacom, Tommy Hilfiger, and the United Nations before running The Mac Support Store in Brooklyn for seventeen years.

When the Apple service era ended I closed the business deliberately and shifted my focus entirely to AI. The same thing that made the service business work — defining what success looks like before you start — is what makes AI systems work too.

What are
you building?

I'm interested in what people are trying to make work, and why it matters to them.
